Teesdale Primary School is in the centre of a growing rural community. Located approximately 35 km northwest of Geelong, it offers the advantages of a rural lifestyle, with all services and facilities within easy commuting distance.

Our grounds and gardens

provide a beautiful environment for education and recreation.

Teesdale Primary School is the only school in the township and in this sense it is the heart of Teesdale.

The student population is 171 students.  At Teesdale Primary School we have the enthusiasm and commitment to work as a team to realise the goals of our Strategic Plan, meeting the needs of every child and challenging each one to reach their highest potential.  It is the mission of Teesdale Primary School to nurture thinking, caring and responsible people with the self-esteem and the application necessary to meet challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.
Our grounds and gardens provide a beautiful environment for education and recreation in the community.  The spacious grounds mean students have ample room to play and learn, with recent enhancements significantly adding to the appeal for students and fauna alike.  Other features include well-appointed, air-conditioned classrooms, withdrawal areas, an open-space gallery and a range of varied and stimulating learning and recreational areas.  The school has worked very hard to provide the best possible environment for our students and will continue to develop and enhance facilities including the new BER classrooms facility.
A feature of the school is the original 1878 brick building that is set up as an ICT Library facility. The school also has a unique mud-brick multi-purpose centre, which was built by the community.  It is used as a facility to enhance our school/community ‘Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program'. Our vegetable garden is purpose designed and emulates the shape of Blue Tongued Lizards and the Southern Cross.
Teesdale Primary School is committed to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in teaching and learning at every level. Our programs are designed to cater for the individual needs of our students. We strive to achieve well in Maths and English whilst providing quality learning programs in all other areas including integrating the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen garden into our curriculum. We promote sustainable practices and environmental responsibility including the development of lifelong healthy habits. Special features of the school’s curriculum are the arts, environment and sport.  Our community is very supportive of children with special needs and our integration program is diverse, caring and thorough. Apart from including a variety of extension programs, both within and beyond regular classrooms we embrace critical and analytic thinking strategies and are committed to the development and integration of Information and Communication Technologies in 2011. We believe we provide an exciting and flexible learning program designed to meet students' individual needs.
There is a strong partnership between parents and staff, with a high level of parent participation on School Council, the PFA, as classroom helpers and kitchen / garden volunteers and in fundraising and social activities. Teesdale Primary School offers its students an attractive, safe and stimulating learning environment and a very successful Outside School Hours Care Facility.
To compliment our excellent teaching and learning framework we underpin our work with our school community values of respect, honesty, resilience, excellence and friendship. Teesdale Primary School strives to:
·         Be safe, secure and friendly where children respect and support each other.
·         Develop industrious children with a desire to search for knowledge .
